NFL Network's Daniel Jeremiah Releases First Mock Draft for 2023
While Senior Bowl practice is officially underway, the pre-draft festivities are in full swing. Numerous draft experts have released their predictions for the 2023 NFL Draft.and Daniel Jeremiah of NFL NetworkHe is one of the last to do so.
He detailed his picks for the top 31 on the board, including the Giants' first-round pick for 25th overall.
Pick for #25:Jordan Addison, WR, USC
Analysis: "The Giants need to add more firepower on the outside and Addison is the best running back in the 2023 draft. The former Trojan has an excellent rhythm game that adds another dimension to Brian Daboll's offense." - Jeremiah
Addison has played 11 games for the Trojans in 2022, missing Arizona and California with a leg injury. Addison became a prime target for 2022 Heisman Trophy-winning QB Caleb Williams following his transfer from the University of Pittsburgh. In his second season with the Panthers, Addison topped 1,593 receiving yards, earning him the Biletnikoff Award, given annually to the nation's top receiver.
Height/Weight: 6 feet - 0.175 pounds
2022 stats: 11 games played, 59 receptions for 875 yards (14.8-yard average), 8 touchdowns
Below are Daniel Jeremiah's predictions for the top five players selected in the 2023 NFL draft, along with analysis from NFL.com's draft expert.
--
5. Tyree Wilson, Rand, Texas Tech; Seattle Seahawks (over DEN)
Analysis: “Pete Carroll admitted after the season that the Seahawks needed more differentials in their top seven. Wilson is a tall, long, lean pass rusher. He can also get a physical advantage during the race. - Jeremiah
Wilson played at Texas A&M for one year (2019) before moving to Texas Tech. As a senior in 2022, he led the Big 12 with 14.5 tackles for loss and finished second in the division with 7.0 sacks.
Height/Weight: 6 feet 6 inches, 275 pounds
2022 stats: 10 games, 61 tackles (25 solo), 7.0 sacks, 1 forced fumble, 1 fumble recovery
Premios: AP Second-Team All-American (2022), AP First-Team All-Big 12 (2022), AutoZone Liberty Bowl Defensive MVP (2021), AP All-Bowl Team (2021), All-Big 12 menção honrosa ( 2021)
4. Will Levis, quarterback, Kentucky; Foals from Indianapolis
Analysis: "Levis' tape is a roller coaster. The heavily armed quarterback has shown brilliant flashes and an ability to avoid and create pressure; he's also shown a tendency to turn the ball over (23 interceptions in his last two seasons). The general manager Colts player Chris Ballard has always valued features and benefits. This pick seems like a good bet for Indianapolis." -Jeremiah
Levis played two seasons for the Nittany Lions before moving to Kentucky, where he increased his draft stock significantly. He posted impressive stats in 2021 and racked up the most touchdowns (24) for Kentucky in a single season since Andre Woodson in 2007.
Height/Weight: 6 feet 3 inches, 232 pounds
2022 stats: 11 games, 2,406 passing yards, 19 TDs, 10 INTs, 72 rushing attempts, -107 yards, 2 TDs

3. Will Anderson Jr., Rand, Alabama; Arizona-Cardeal
Analysis: “The Cardinals are desperate for top talent and Anderson is clearly the best in the class. He can win with speed and power." – Jeremiah
In three years at Alabama, Anderson's 62 tackles for loss and 34.5 sacks ranked second in school history. After completing his best college season, he finished fifth in the 2021 Heisman Trophy voting.
Height/Weight: 6 feet 4 inches, 243 pounds
2022 stats: 13 games, 51 tackles (24 solo), 10.0 sacks, 1 interception, 1 touchdown and 1 pass defensed

2. Bryce Young, quarterback, Alabama; Houston, Texas
Analysis: “Young is a very instinctive player with excellent precision and decisiveness. However, his lack of bulk is a big problem and this makes ranking him very difficult. If he can keep up physically, I think he would be a great fit for some of the talented plays from the young Texans." -Jeremiah
In three years at Alabama, Young set numerous school records. He recovered five touchdowns (5) and finished second with 8,356 passing yards. In his sophomore season, Young also set single-season school records with 4,872 passing yards and 47 touchdowns.
Height/Weight: 6 feet, 194 pounds
2022 stats: 12 games, 3,328 passing yards, 32 TDs, 5 INTs, 49 rushing attempts, 185 yards, 4 TDs

1.Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia; chicago bears
Analysis: “I'm sure the detractors would want out of this election. If that option isn't available, or if offers fall short of the asking price, Carter would make an instant difference in all three moves down." - Jeremiah
Carter is a back-to-back CFP national champion who played just two games in three seasons at Georgia. According to CBS Sports and TruMedia last season, Carter rushed 13 percent of his passes and racked up a tackle on 17.1 percent of his run defense snaps.
